Wasps Legends Foundation to support Action for A-T in 2018
Wasps Legends Charitable Foundation, the past players network of Wasps men and women, amateur and professional, announced at their annual Long Lunch that one of their charity partners for 2018 will be Action for A-T.
Each year, Wasps Legends come together for a charity lunch, to raise money for the Wasps Legends Charitable Foundation. This year, Chair of the Foundation, Genevieve Glover was pleased to announce the two charities who would benefit from the fundraising activities and commented: “Through the fundraising work of the Wasps Legends family, we are pleased to continue our support of two main charities during 2018. Our relationship with the Serge Betsen Academy continues for a second year, and we are also delighted to be supporting Action for A-T.”
Action for A-T benefited from a small grant of £2,500 in 2017 and will receive £25,000 throughout 2018. Sean Kelly of Action for A-T said of the donation: “We are so grateful for the generous support of the Wasps Legends Charitable Foundation. The donation is a significant amount for our small charity which will help us in our quest to find a cure or therapy for A-T. The funds will be committed to our IMAGIN-A-T project at the Nottingham University Hospital to help cover the cost of the Oxygen Enhanced MRI scans which will be administered to 25 children with A-T over a 3 year period.”
