Kenny Logan receives cheque from Barings

Ex-Scottish International rugby player Kenny Logan recently attended a cheque presentation evening at Barings. He collected the cheque for £40,000 on behalf of Action for A-T and conducted a Q&A session about his appearance on Strictly Come Dancing and rugby related topics.

The sizeable donation is the result of a year long charity partnership between Barings and Action for A-T. Throughout 2015, employees attended quiz nights, staged cake sales and entered raffles to raise just under £20,000. These funds were matched by Barings and an incredible £40,000 was raised for vital A-T research.

Upon receiving the cheque from sports and social committee member Paul Lynch, Kenny explained “I am delighted to receive this cheque on behalf of Action for A-T. As an ex-sports professional and a father of two healthy children, I am passionate about child health and am therefore delighted to support Action for A-T. Research into rare conditions such as A-T is so important for the families affected and the generous donation from Barings will go a long way to funding a potentially life changing project”.

At Action for A-T, we understand that every company is different. We partner with organisations of all sizes and offer a variety of engagement opportunities to help us in our quest to find a cure or treatment for A-T.
