Action for A-T are proud to announce that they will be joining forces with Action Medical Research to co-fund up to £500,000 of research in 2018 to tackle the rare degenerative condition, Ataxia Telangiectasia.
Through working together, our two charities believe more can be achieved to help develop treatments and work towards a cure for A-T.
Sean Kelly, Chief Executive of Action for A-T says: “It is vital that we do all that we can to speed up the process of finding a cure or treatment for A-T. The partnership with Action Medical Research will allow us to fund even more research into this brutal degenerative condition and offer hope to the families who need it most.”
Action Medical Research Chief Executive, Julie Buckler explains: “We’re proud to be using our expert peer review system to work together with Action for A-T to identify research to tackle this devastating condition.”
Applications for jointly funded project grants will be identified through Action Medical Research’s peer review system and will be announced in July 2018.
